I'm completely new to Linux and I'm a little bit in the dark, but knowing that Windows runs incredibly slow, and my computer is crap, I'd try a Saturn emulator on Linux. Normally SSF on Windows is really choppy and the frame rate is horrible. So, I got Yabause 9.10 installed on Ubuntu 9.10, assuming it would run much smoother, but now it runs even worse! I figured that maybe an important driver hasn't been installed only to find out that all the drivers I need are already installed. I'm worried that my problem may be my hardware, I'm using a crap laptop issued by the State of NJ, it's an ancient Dell Latitude 610 running at 1.60 Ghz cpu with 2 gigs of RAM... I don't have a high end video card installed either. I tried running the games from CD-R's and .iso images and still the same result, no difference. I'm curious, am I just doomed from the start, or is there a way to get Yabause running efficiently enough to enjoy something along the lines of VFR or Sonic Jam??
